VeoRide's Vision
Pristine electric bicycles making traveling around campus quick, easy and fun.
Reality
VeoRides are mistreated and placed in very awkward spaces.
Current Solutions
Reporting
Users can notify Veo of any issues regarding their platform. However, the reporting system is clunky and somewhat hidden in the app.
Maintenance
Currently VeoRide has a separate application called Technician app that has the technical information on bikes.
Maintenance is broken down into three components Rebalance, Maintenance, and Battery Swap. They move, maintenance, and find bikes through the application.
Only official VeoRide technicians are allowed to view and use the application currently.
Lucky Zones
Lucky zones give riders discounts if they park within the zone. However, rides are not easily notified or aware of when they are within the perimeter.
Parking Areas
These areas indicate suggested areas where users should park their ride. These points are not well communicated to the user while in use, making it a less known feature.
Our Concept
A new system of cooperative maintenance through rider community engagement. Riders can report issues, move bikes to ideal locations, and sign up to recharge the bikes for pay, so that the company maintenance can focus on repairing bikes.
UIUX Add On
Including the scanning feature the current maintenance uses and adding it to the user flow to allow for the new avenue of maintenance.
Levels of Engagement
As VeoRiders build trust with Veo, they are able to unlock positions in the app.
